My mornings

I joined a health club a few weeks ago and am really enjoying it! Each day, except Tuesday, I get up about 5:40am and then head out to WOW. I get a great workout in and usually do the eliptical for 25 to 30 minutes, a ton of crunches and then some other weight machines.

I have been doing this to not just lose all the baby weight that just doesn't seem to want to get off of me but also to help with my hips and back. I know that if I don't do something to strengthen those areas that I will be crawling up the stairs again and back where I was before my physical therapy.

I have really enjoyed this and get a little time for me...although it is at the butt crack of dawn...I just have to take the time that I can get even if the rest of the world is not quite awake yet.

A few people I know work out there too and it is great to see their faces in the morning. Some of them need me to be there to get them in to workout too so that is motivation for me to get out of bed in the morning and get going.

Hopefully the weight will start melting off of this body and I will be able to wear some of the other clothes that have been sitting in my closet for a few years now. Time and motivation is what I need though to make that happen...some day I will be able to button up those pants again :)

Good for you, Jessica! I just, this week, resumed setting my alarm to get up and do some exercising. I was getting up to walk with a friend, but it got dark and cold in the morning, so we're giving up until spring. It definitely helps to have someone to meet up with! Now I'm doing it alone, but maybe it will help me get up knowing that you're hitting the gym earlier than I'm crawling out of bed! ;)
