Our search is over!

We spent two weekends looking for the perfect leather sectional for our living room. This was quite the search! We went to 4 different stores and one of those stores, we went there 3 different times over the two weekends. We had a big day of looking this past Saturday and did some serious looking.

We walked into one store and had a very helpful salesperson who was going to give us a great deal on a couch. Unfortunately, it just wasn't the one that we really wanted. It was nice but just not quite right.

Our second store for Saturday, we walked in and told them what we were looking for and they didn't have any and even asked us who would have anything like that in stock. That pretty much tuned us out right then. If you are a salesperson, don't put down the taste of your customer.

The third store was closing in about 10 minutes so we looked fast. The guy met us at the door, pointed us to where we needed to go. We looked but I could tell he was ready to go home. They didn't really have anything that we wanted though so we left before their store was supposed to close.

We ended up at the place of our favorite couch. We got the price, mesearements and everything we needed to make this ours.

Our journey for a couch needed to end because the kids were getting restless. They were very good through all of this though and had a great time "testing" out all the different couches and seeing all the interesting colors and patterns.

When we got home, I got the tape measure out and guess what...none of the sectionals that we wanted would fit in our room. The couch would go over our wall by quite a bit. All that work and looking and it wasn't going to work! We were going to have to start over and the kids would hate going to all those places again to look for a couch.

Chris did some looking and our sectional we wanted also came in a couch. We went back the next day to look at the couch version and bought it...well, after we went in the glass elevator to the bedrooms because Sidney saw a Hannah Montana room (she hasn't even seen Hannah Montana).

Thursday, we will have our new couch and it is so comfy! We (I should say Chris) has rearranged the basement so our old couch will go down there. We are still on the lookout for our chair to go with it so we will be venturing out to more stores eventually. We may have to do some painting to make the room fit a little better and we are getting some new curtains for the adjoining room so it will all flow a little bit better. All this will happen at some point. I am just glad to have a new couch to spruce up our family room.
