Yesterday was a Teen MOPS Tuesday. The day actually went really well but I did have a very emotional child for some reason that I still don't know.
Micah was in tears almost all day. I think he may have just been really tired but I do know that he needed lots of extra attention. He was watching his last cartoon for the morning and just burst into tears. He then was really sad again after his nap. Just a hard day for him.
Teen MOPS had a few more new girls last night. We are now a few people above the 50 mark that are registered. Our average attendance is a little over 15 teens now at each meeting.
We had a lot of extra hands last night which was great because we really needed it! Our store nights are a huge undertaking and it is a lot of work for just a couple people. Thank you, thank you, thank you to all those who help or donate to Teen MOPS!
As I was making some copies last night, the copier decided to jam, twice. At the same time, Quinn decided he was hungry and wouldn't stop crying. Then, I got a phone call. I thought maybe it was a teen needing a ride so I answered it and it was one of the local news stations. They interviewed Teen MOPS last year and wanted to see if they could come to our meeting tonight. Of course, I said yes! I and a few other teens were interviewed regarding a recent survey and/or statistic that came out about teen pregnancies and how common they are becoming in today's world. Not being a teen today, I don't think I gave the answer that they were looking for but hopefully the teens that spoke gave them some information that they needed. I don't when if and when the story will be on TV but when it is, I will post the link on here. If anything, it would be nice if they just featured Teen MOPS a bit to help spread the news of this support group for teens that are pregnant or teens that have children.
It is always a guess as to what will happen at a Teen MOPS meeting and I was not expecting that last night :)
