B.U.G.

Yesterday, Sidney got her 10th B.U.G. certificate from school. She was so proud! She gets these when she does her work independently. She also said that she has to use three different colors on her papers, put her name on her paper and also the date.

So why the big deal for her 10th one? Well, some of the other kids in her class were going to get something special from their parents when they got 10 so she we all decided that she was going to get ice cream when she got 10 of them. We had our first real snow last night and she and Chris went out to Culvers to get some ice cream as the snow was falling.

Congratulations Sidney! We are so proud of you and all the great work you have been doing at school.

We are supposed to get a bad storm tomorrow. We still have to finish decorating our tree and it sounds like it will be cold, snowy and then sleeting all day so it will be a great day to finish that. We got our tree last Sunday and it has lights on it finally but it is still pretty empty and is longing for some ornaments.

My dad had surgery on Monday to repair the fracture in his neck and the bone chips that were in there. I talked with him tonight and he sounds really good. Not sure when he will be getting out of the hospital but I am sure that it isn't the most exciting place to be. I thought about coming down there this weekend to see him but with the storm it isn't safe enough to travel down there. We will see him soon though and hopefully he will get to come home soon.
